About Oceandle Game

Welcome to Oceandle, an engaging and educational geography guessing game where a new mystery sea is revealed every day. Your goal is to identify this hidden sea, gulf, bay, strait or ocean using the fewest number of guesses. Each guess is highlighted on an interactive globe with a colour that indicates how close you are to the mystery sea — the hotter the colour, the closer your guess. If your guess borders the mystery sea, it turns red. Test your knowledge of the world's waters, explore the globe, and challenge yourself daily with Oceandle!

How to Play Oceandle

• Making a Guess: Enter the name of any sea or ocean in the guess box.
• Color Indicators: After each guess, the sea will appear on the globe with a specific color.
  • Hotter Colors: Indicate you are closer to the mystery sea.
  • Bright Red: Indicates your guessed sea borders the mystery sea.
  • Green: You found the mystery sea!
• Explore the Globe: Drag to rotate the globe and zoom with pinch or scroll. Hover over guessed seas to see their names and distances.
• Hints: If you're stuck, click the 💡 hint button. Hint 1 reveals the borders of every sea region on the globe, hint 2 shows sea names on hover, and hint 3 shows a compass next to your latest guess pointing roughly towards the mystery sea.
• Win the Game: Keep guessing until you identify the mystery sea. Try to use the fewest number of guesses to improve your score.
• Share and Compete: Share your results with friends and see who can guess the mystery sea with the fewest attempts.
